The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort offers three options for staying within the park, the Victorian themed flagship Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, the more relaxed 1930s art deco Hollywood Hotel, and the newest addition, Disney Explorers Lodge which is the largest property with an exotic and adventurous spirit. They all pack a healthy dose of Disney magic, but are indeed very different in their style.
So which one to choose? This of course will depend on your personal preference and budget. The Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel offers five-star accomodations and ammenities in a grand and regal setting. It is set in a Victorian style "Princess Castle" theme, it is elegant and classy, with all that old world charm mixed in with fun Disney magic.
The more casual Hollywood Hotel offers an affordable option for families to experience all the magical touches of the Disney Resort experience.
The Explorers Lodge, as the name implies, is adventurous, exuberant and exotic... The grounds are as impressive as the accomodations, with themed gardens representing many of the worlds exotic locations...
All three are very family and kid-oriented, don't be put off by the fancy and opulent setting of the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, this is still very much a hotel for kids where the friendliness of the staff will make you feel at home.
Here is an over the top comparison of the main features of what each one has to offer that can be used as a guideline to determine whether a stay at one of the Disney resorts fits your travel needs.
